ESDA Silver Award for Sue Bacon
At the ESDA AGM at Beechwood Hall in Cooksbridge, Sue Bacon was awarded an ‘Outstanding Service Award’ in recognition of her dedication and commitment as a volunteer with DELTA. Over the years Sue and her family have provided gifts for the raffle held twice an month at DELTA meetings and Sue has sold a great many tickets in aid of club funds. Additionally, Sue and her family have run a stalls and tombola at the various coffee mornings and table top sales DELTA has held. Thank you Sue and the Bacon family for all you do for DELTA.
DELTA took part in Ringmer Village Fete on 21 May 11 by having a stall which provided a Treasure Hunt game for people to play. Overall, we raised £260 which was donated to the Village Hall Appeal. Whilst we were there, a photographer from the Financial Times took a photo for use in the FT paper as can be seen here.
